This Sunday will be the 2014 Beverly Hills Concours de Elegance at Greystone Mansion




The Greystone Mansion concours field will feature 175 exceptional automobiles and motorcycles, focusing on 16 classes of vintage, classic cars from recognized marques manufactured before 1975.

 The 2014 lineup includes:
 the 60th Anniversary of the Porsche Speedster,
 the 50th anniversary of the legendary Mustang will also be celebrated,  and
 a special Centennial Class has been added to this year’s event comprised of approximately a half-dozen cars built 1914 or earlier to honor the city’s 100th anniversary of its founding. The Centennial cars will be presented along with a display of historic Beverly Hills photographs and memorabilia.

 Also to be shown will be Cobras such as factory competition cars and one of the just 32 “narrow hip” 427’s made.
 Other notable cars on display at the event include Italian cars represented by rare examples of the Alfa Romeo SZ and TZ models, and Ferrari’s such as a 250 GT Lusso, 250 GT Short Wheelbase Berlinetta and 365 GTB/4 Daytona.
 A Talbot, Facel Vega and Dual-Ghia will also be on display.

 “The Greystone Mansion Concours d’Elegance has become a must see event for automobile enthusiasts all over the world,” says Brad Meyerowitz, Beverly Hills Recreation Services Manager. “With Greystone Mansion set as the breath-taking background for this elite automotive inspired event, car enthusiasts, automotive experts, architecture, and history buffs will enjoy an unforgettable automobile showcase complete with five-star culinary experiences, libations, lectures, shopping, and more.”

  Tickets to the Greystone Mansion Concours d’Elegance are $120 with advance purchase and include admission to the concours, lecture series, fashion show, as well as access to the Greystone estate grounds and mansion and vendor marketplace. All food, beverages and adult libations are included at no extra cost.

A commemorative poster and program, off-site parking, and brief shuttle ride to the estate are also included with admission. The event is a major annual fundraiser for the ongoing restoration and preservation of Greystone, a nationally registered historic landmark, under the auspices of the nonprofit Friends of Greystone.
