Happy 10 year anniversary!

ten years ago I decided to try and join into the growing trend of car guys starting blogs, as that seemed to be where so many things I wanted to see about the car hobby were getting posted.

I hope you've enjoyed the ride.
My 1st post http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2006/11/its-start.html was an attempt at a good beginning, it went like this:

In the beginning, men became fed up with walking.

Then they realized that horses left horseshoes and piles of manure in the roads

Soon, the marvelous elixer of gasoline was concocted, meanwhile Goodyear discovered the method of vulcanizing rubber.... and the birth of the internal combustion engine! Voila!

The automobile was on it's way to changing human culture, art, and transportation.

I guess it was allright, things seemed to have worked out well so far

  10. 10 years is one hell of a commitment. Searching, researching, forming and posting every day. I'm sure, at times it must seem like a real chore. Take heart, We appreciate your effort and at times patience. Doing this for a decade, the congratulations are well deserved.
You entertain for free, but moments like this must make you rich with satisfaction.
Just a car guy ?....... your a bit more complex than that my friend.

    1. Thank you! I would have been adding content today, but my landlord told me that there was going to be a 130 inspection of my garages... and I took the day off work, and cleaned up, organized, and wasted time waiting for them... and they never showed. My garages are nicer, and I detailed the tires and rims on my daily driver... but damn. Wasted a day off work for NOTHING, and had NO TIME to post! Grrrrrr. I don't think I'll be doing this for another 10 thou. I need to make this hobby into a job. Right now. I need a payraise, and some company to foot the bill for me to get to Goodwood!

    2. they had the day wrong, and today was the visit by the local zoning commission rep, and I have 2 garages, one in compliance because my 1969 R/T is in it, and the other with just storage is out of compliance, as the local law says that garages can not be rented for storage of stuff, only for vehicles. I hope to get a reprieve when I demonstrate that I store a motorcycle in it (borrowed from a friend to get zoning woman to go away) or move things around until I can fit my daily driver in here. The bad news, no more hanging out in my rented garages. So, more time wasted on lifes problems, and less time blogging for a while until I get this problem handled
