Fussells Ice Cream, Washington DC, was the first commercially sold ice cream made in America

the new guy had to use the solid rubber tire truck, the drivers with seniority drove the new pneumatic tire equipped softer ride trucks.

Back when ice cream was something made locally, and brands competed with each other for your business. How many local ice cream companies are in your grocery store freezer now? Ben N Jerrys, Haagen Daz, Breyers, Dreyers (there must be a story how 2 ice cream companies have virtually identical names) and Tillamook? Maybe Blue Bunny?
